Usage Improvements

  • We updated our CAD interoperability library. With this upgrade,
    • We now support SolidWorks 2023 files.
    • We now support SolidWorks files in nTop Automate for Linux.
    • Users can now see the SolidWorks CAD Body names.
  • We have updated the nTop Plugin for EOSPRINT (Beta) to Users can now adjust the slicing tolerance by adding ‘config.json’ (see below) in the plugin installation folder.
  "slice_feature_size": 0.00025

Block Updates

  • We updated the CFD Boundary on FE Mesh block with a ‘Name’ input to enable custom names for the Boundary defined in the block. When a user exports a *.msh file from the Export FE Mesh to CFD block containing this block, it will write these custom names and their associated boundary types into the file. We also changed the ‘Boundary type’ input name to ‘Type’. We currently do not support these capabilities for the *.cgns file format.
  • We updated the Export FE Mesh to CFD block with a ‘Wall Name’ input. This update enables you to apply custom names for the wall boundary condition by default to all the exterior walls of a meshed model that does not have a boundary type assigned with the CFD Boundary on FE Mesh block. When a user exports a *.msh file with this block, it will write the wall name. We currently do not support this capability for the *.cgns file format.

Bug Fixes

  • We fixed an issue where hovering over the ribbon or moving the application window would cause nTop to exit unexpectedly.
  • We fixed an issue where a block tooltip would linger on the screen after selecting results in the search menu dropdowns.
  • We fixed an issue where the nTop version label would not show when downloading an update of nTop.
  • We fixed an issue where meshing a highly complex implicit body would get stuck at 100% with no warning or error.
