How to mesh small-scale parts

Objective:

Learn some tips on how to mesh small-scale parts.

Applies to:

  • Meshing
  • Small parts

Procedure:

If you have a small part, with details in the 0.001 mm range, it may be difficult to try the various meshing techniques we suggest due to the lower limit of some of the inputs. For example, the Voxel Grid from Implicit Body block has a minimum voxel size of 0.015 mm. To overcome this, we suggest scaling up your part and then meshing it. Once you are happy with your mesh, scale it back down.

And that’s it! You’ve successfully meshed your small part
