nTopology 3.13 is here! This release features a new property for face-based lattices that allows for automatic mesh extractions. As with every release, nTopology’s dedicated support team is ready to answer your questions. Please visit support.ntopology.com to gain access to helpful tutorials and support articles.
Faces as Mesh Property
- A property called “faces as mesh” has been added to the Lattice data type. This property allows you to automatically extract a Mesh from a face-based Lattice. You can access the Mesh in the Properties tab of the Block Information panel or by typing “your Lattice instance name.faces as mesh” directly into an input. For beam-based lattices, this property shows an error and has no output because there are no faces.
Block Updates
- Extract Mesh from Lattice is now deprecated. Faces as mesh is now a property on the Lattice data type that you can access in the Properties tab of the Information Panel or by typing .face as mesh directly into an input.
Bug Fixes
- We fixed a bug in the Split Mesh block that was producing incorrect results when the mesh input wasn’t manifold.
- The Export Material block has been updated to address a bug that resulted in incorrect shear moduli being exported for orthotropic materials.
